Transurethral ultrasound ablation is an incision-free procedure used to destroy cancerous tissue within the prostate. Using high-frequency sound waves delivered through the urethra, the sound waves are delivered directly to the targeted tissue which is then heated until the point of destruction.

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are the most common infections urologists treat. UTIs develop when bacteria enter the urinary tract through the urethra and multiply in the bladder. They involve the bladder, kidneys, ureters or urethra and typically occur in adults. Women are at greater risk for both of these types of infections due to their reproductive anatomy.
