San Antonio, TX  – Methodist Children’s Hospital is thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of our annual Rowan Windham Cereal Drive, aimed at providing nutritious breakfast options for children during the summer months. Thanks to the incredible support from our staff members, facilities, community, and generous donors, this year's drive collected a total of 283,601 cereal servings, surpassing our set goal of 230,000.

Special thanks to HEB and OAK Farms Dairy, each of whom donated 15,000 gallons of milk, ensuring that children not only have cereal to eat, but also milk to go with it.

“Seeing our team members and community come together to exceed our cereal collection goal significantly is both inspiring and heartening. It underscores the shared commitment to supporting the health and well-being of our youngest community members,” says Rachel Goldsmith CEO of Methodist Children’s Hospital.

The cereal and milk collected during this drive will be distributed through the San Antonio Food Bank. The Rowan Windham Cereal Drive honors the legacy of Rowan Windham, a remarkable young boy who, during his time in the hospital, selflessly requested cereal donations instead of toys to support other children in need, sparking a tradition of community generosity that continues to thrive.
