We allow two adult caregivers to accompany pediatric patients admitted to the hospital.

Cafeteria
Our hospital cafeteria is located on Sub Level 1 and is open seven days a week, with the following service hours:
- 6:00am - 10:00am
- 11:00am- 7:00pm
- 11:00pm - 2:00am
- 3:00am - 4:30am
Visitors can also enjoy the Rosella Café on the first floor in the central tower.

Interpreter services are available for non-English-speaking patients and families. For assistance, please call (833) 219-9611.
Security
Methodist Children’s Hospital has a dedicated 24-hour security team patrolling the campus. They respond promptly to any concerns, requests and lost and found inquiries. For security assistance, call (210) 575-4763 or dial "00" from any hospital phone.
Social services
Spiritual support and chapel
The hospital chapel is located on Sub Level 1 in the central tower. The chapel is open at all times to every denomination.
Chaplains are available to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and friends. To request chaplain services, call the Hospital Operator or tell your nurse you would like a chaplain visit.

Definitions
Patient representative (as defined by CMS): This is the individual who is legally responsible for making medical decisions on a patient’s behalf. (See also: Advance Directives Withholding & Withdrawing Life Sustaining Treatment and Treatment Disagreement Process and Consent to Medical Treatment.)
Patient support person (as defined by CMS): This person does not necessarily have to be the same as the patient representative. A support person could be a family member, friend or any individual who supports the patient during the course of the hospital stay. In cases of pediatric patients, Child Protective Services (CPS) may assign a support person as part of a CPS Safety Plan.
