Methodist Hospital | Northeast voted "Best Hospital" for 5 consecutive years

San Antonio, Texas — For the fifth year in a row, the community has voted Methodist Hospital | Northeast as “Best Hospital” in San Antonio through the San Antonio Express-News 2025 YourSA Readers’ Choice Awards. This recognition underscores the hospital's commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services to the community.

“We are honored to be voted 'Best Hospital' for the fifth year in a row, especially as we celebrate our 40th anniversary,” shared Jerrica George, CEO of Methodist Hospital | Northeast. “We don’t take this award for granted. We recognize that every patient has the ability to choose where they go for their healthcare needs, and we are grateful that they continue to choose us. This June marks the hospital’s 40th anniversary, a milestone that highlights its long-standing service to the community. As the hospital embarks on this new chapter, its commitment to providing world-class healthcare remains steadfast.

In addition to this new accolade, the hospital recently announced a significant $146 million campus expansion project. The expansion will include a new patient tower, spanning three floors, significantly increasing the hospital’s capacity by adding 78 additional patient rooms and eliminating all double-occupancy rooms. The project will also include a new medical office building, expanding the hospital’s service lines and ultimately enhancing healthcare access in the Northeast and Tri-county areas. Construction on the expansion is set to begin by the end of 2025, with completion anticipated by late 2027.
