San Antonio, Texas — Methodist Hospital Stone Oak celebrated a significant step forward in its ongoing commitment to advancing healthcare in the community. This past week, the hospital team gathered for a steel topping ceremony, signing the final beam for one section of its $104 million vertical expansion and renovation project.

The two-story addition will add 54 new beds, including Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) rooms, while expanding critical support areas. The project also includes a comprehensive kitchen renovation to enhance food service for patients and visitors.

“This milestone is more than a construction achievement; it’s an investment in the future of healthcare for San Antonio, said Michael Beaver, CEO of Methodist Hospital Stone Oak.” “Expanded capacity will allow us to deliver advanced care and adapt to the evolving needs of our patients for years to come.”

The expansion underscores Methodist Hospital Stone Oak’s mission to provide innovative, patient-centered care and ensure access to advanced medical services for years to come.
