Methodist Hospital Westover Hills appoints chief financial officer
Exceptional leader, Joe Vasquez, joins the team at Westover Hills as the new CFO.
San Antonio, Texas ― Methodist Hospital Westover Hills is pleased to announce that Joe Vasquez has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer.
Vasquez most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Methodist Hospital | Atascosa and played a crucial role in optimizing the financial metrics to position the hospital for continued success in the future. Throughout the challenging times brought on by COVID-19, Vasquez effectively managed the facility and actively contributed to finalizing service agreements with new hospitalists and anesthesia groups, demonstrating exceptional leadership.
Prior to his role at Methodist Hospital | Atascosa, Vasquez served as the Controller of Methodist Hospital | Stone Oak for nine years. His contributions were instrumental in the facility's growth, propelling it from an annual measure of 20 million to a facility projected to generate over 100 million annually.

Vasquez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Texas at San Antonio. His dedication to development and his expertise in finance management allowed him to step in as interim CFO for multiple Methodist Healthcare-managed hospitals for extended periods, showcasing his versatility and commitment to organizational success.

Methodist Hospital | Westover Hills will offer several specialties including internal medicine, family practice, orthopedics, urology, pulmonology, oncology, radiology, cardiology, and maternal-fetal medicine. The acute-care hospital is expected to open in late 2024.
